3 Days Gorilla trekking Safari

Day 1

Transfer from Kigali International Airport to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up for an early breakfast at your hotel or residence in Kigali, Rwanda as you wait for your safari guide-driver. He will meet you and brief you about the Uganda & Rwanda gorilla trekking trip. You will then visit the Kigali Genocide Museum to learn about & pay your respect to the victims of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. This will be followed by a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda with a lunch stopover on the way, before or after crossing the border. After the journey of about 4 to 5 hours, we arrive at Bwindi National Park and check in at the hotel with possible time to relax and refresh as we wait for dinner. Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp or similar.

Day 2

Gorilla Tracking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. You will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi where you will take a swim in Uganda’s most beautiful lake or take a canoe to enjoy nature and explore the surrounding communities.

Day 3

Transfer to Kigali Airport

A leisurely breakfast will be followed by transfer back to Kigali leaving the magnificent forest to the gorillas marking the end of 3 Day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Experience from Rwanda. Upon arrival in Kigali, Rwanda your driver guide will be advised on the drop off point and or at your hotel or at the airport targeting for your outbound departure time. End.
